![]() ![]() When clicking the middle mouse button, you don't rotate around the point you look at (like you would expect in any top down combat field camera), but instead you look left and right, kind of first person style, and super slow turning as well. Now I never really am sure if I am to use a left or right click and sometimes both work, sometimes they don't.Īnother thing is the weird camera control in combat. Spearking of unergonomic, the left mouse / right mouse button confusion. I end up selecting a unit, checking the hotbar, then clicking on the unit icon, checking the full unit ability list constantly. I never got into any real "flow" of using this spread info. Where AoW1,2,SM just gave you a simple list of abilities, any time you selected a unit, in AoW3 I feel lost in a mixture of tooltips, pop ups, hotbar keys and even full-unit into, that I have to manually open after selecting a unit. Then I also struggle with how information is spread on the screen, and I have to click in and out of boxes to get the full picture. However, it also seems not thought trough, as it also means no HP bar. (BTW: There is an option to turn off banners, even. The sword or arrow symbol on the banner cannot be read if you're not zoomed in. Yes, the banners are nice, but from a distance the banners are hard to read, they just are not clear enough, not crisp enough to be read well. Is it swordman, is it archer? I have to click to be sure. ![]() ![]() Where before, there was a clear unit visible, with distinct colors and shapes, big in size, I now have trouble to differ between the polygon mess that is a squad, basically some people with stuff in their hand. The GUI is not perfect, but you get the hang. Unit stats are always there when you click a unit. ![]()
